In September of last year, bet365 chose Denver as its U.S. headquarters, establishing its main office at 1701 Platte Street. Referred to as One Platte, the UK-based iGaming and sports betting giant has subsequently acquired the office complex.
The London gaming operator has reportedly reached an agreement to acquire One Platte for $135 million, according to the Denver Business Journal. The building, which spans almost 249K square feet, is being sold by Shorenstein, a San Francisco-based real estate investment firm.
Located in downtown Denver on Platte Street by Interstate 25, the office building is in one of Denver's most lively and active commercial areas, boasting LEED and WIRED certifications and is almost fully leased. In addition to office space, the building features two retail stores, a fitness center equipped with showers and locker rooms, a lobby area, and a versatile event center. Many restaurants and residences are nearby, as well as Commons Park.
Bet365 occupies 119,300 square feet in One Platte. By April, the building had an occupancy rate of 88%.
Bet365’s Operations in the US
Bet365 is one of the most well-known bookmakers internationally. In the U.S., the company has faced greater challenges in gaining market share and brand recognition against sports betting frontrunners such as FanDuel and DraftKings.
In its ongoing emphasis on the emerging US sports betting market, Denver attracted bet365 with over $14 million in tax incentives spanning eight years. Since the opening of its One Platte office last autumn, Bet365 has created hundreds of jobs in the Colorado capital. The organization aims to employ nearly 1,000 staff members in Denver in the upcoming years.
Bet365 operates as a licensed sportsbook across 13 states — Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia. The company provides iGaming via the bet365 app in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Casino.org shared in May that bet365 and Fanatics are gaining traction in the online sports betting arena, primarily at the cost of BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook.
Bet365 belongs to the Sports Betting Alliance, a nonprofit organization that advocates for state legislators to approve regulations for online sports betting and casino gaming.
Indiana Fever Agreement
In other bet365 news, the sportsbook revealed today a partnership with the Indiana Fever as the WNBA team’s Official Sportsbook Sponsor for the 2025 season.
"We’re excited to team up with bet365 and bring fans a premium mobile sports betting experience,” said Fever Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Amber Cox. “This partnership is all about creating more ways for fans to connect with our team from tipoff through to the final buzzer.”
The Fever is the WNBA team that garners the most views and bets, primarily due to Caitlin Clark's presence. The all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I, Clark has been out of action since late May due to a left quadriceps strain.
The bet365 agreement enables the sportsbook to provide “fan-centric elements that will be incorporated throughout the Fever’s media and game day experience,” the statement clarified.
